ABGA Sanctioned Show, Cassopolis, MI, May 5, 2007

Jana (yellow sweatshirt) showed Dottie and won Reserve Champion in her age division of 2 year old Purebred/Fullblood doe.

GLOM Sanctioned Goat Show, Shiawassee Co., MI, May 26, 2007

Jana (red sweatshirt) showed Callie and took reserve in her age class. She lost to Autumn Acres, but who doesn't lose to them?!?! We were very pleased with how Callie showed as a yearling. Homemade earned her milking star, which we are very happy about.

4-H Caprine Classic Goat Show, East Lansing (MSU), MI, June 23, 2007

Jana showed Dottie and won Grand Champion Boer!! We were so excited. (Unfortunately I dropped my camera and it died, so I had to use my phone camera, which apparently doesn't take the best pictures.) Jeff showed Roxy (Nubian) and she won her age division and the judge said she was a contender for Reserve Grand. Maybe next year with another freshening. Jamie showed Callie (Alpine) and won her age division. Jamie also showed Onyx (LaMancha baby from Precious) and won her age division. It was a really good day, and we had a lot of fun.

Clinton County Youth 4-H and FFA Fair August 29-July 2, 2007 St. Johns, MI

FINALLY~~Jana won Grand Champion Market Wether with Bendall. It is nice to win at the home Fair.

Shiawassee County Fair

Reserve Grand Champion Market Wether. We sold a doe bred to Orion to the Sigafose family. The son won from that breeding won Reserve.

Lenawee County Fair

Alexis won Champion Junior LaMancha with Erica (full sister to Whitney, and 6th place in Showmanship. Good job little ladies!

Ionia County Free Fair

Layla did it again--1st and Grand Champion in Yearling Doe Other than Dairy. Cait won 2nd place and Cory 3rd in Market Wether other than Dairy. Congratulations, guys!

Kyle won Reserve Champion Youth Boer with Betty. Way to go, Kyle!!

Montcalm County Fair 2007

Emily won second place in weight class with her market wether and first place for showmanship. Nice job, Emily!!

Michigan State Fair, Detroit, MI August, 2007

Dottie did it again. Jana showed her and won Reserve Overall Grand Champion in the Youth show on Thursday, and first place in her age category in the Open show on Friday. Jeff won 1st place in his division for Showmanship and went on to win Overall Reserve Championship in Showmanship. Jana also won first place in her age division for showmanship. Good job, guys!

Youth Wether Show

Jamie was delighted to take second place in the lightweight division with Hawk, a wether from Patty Cake. The judge really liked the LONG loin.

Jana and Jeff were excited to have their wethers finish first and third in the heavyweight division. Scout (paint in first place) came from Peaches and Orion. Greg came from Scarlet and Rascal. Good job, guys!

Ionia Free Fair, Michigan, July 24, 2006

Caitlin did great with Layla (left) and Yuri (right). Layla won First Place in her division, and Reserve Champion Overall. She is from Baby Jane and Orion. Layla was also entered into a picture contest and won 5th out of nine. Click on her picture to view it. Yuri, from Daisy, won first place in the wethers. Congratulations, Caitlin!

Another family took Grand Champion in the "Other than Dairy Milker" division with a doe from us.

Stark County 4H Fair Wyoming, Illinois July 29, 2006

Elizabeth won 1st place in the Meat Doe 6-12 months division. She is a product of Sherry and Orion. She also won 5th place out of about 20 goats at their State Fair.

Van Buren County 4-H Fair, Michigan, July, 2006

Jesse couldn't have been happier with Gail, who is from Seven and Rascal. Gail won first place in the Junior Non-Dairy Milker division, and went on to win Overall Grand Champion.

Mecosta County Agricultural Fair, Michigan, August, 2006

Tara won Grand Champion Market Goat, Rate of Gain, and first place in Showmanship with Luke, a son from Patty Cake (notice the long loin).

She also took a doe from us born to Tarabella and Orion, and won Reserve Grand Champion in breed class. The judge said that out of all the goats there, she was the most correct as far as breed standard goes. Congratulations, Tara!! Sorry the picture does not come through well.

Michigan State Fair, Youth Show, Detroit, MI, August 29, 2006

Jana placed 2nd in her age division for Showmanship, and with Scarlet took first place in the Mature Doe 4+ Years division. This was our first year to ever go to the MI State Fair. It was a lot of fun. We were only there during the week for Boers. We slept in empty goat pens right across from our goats! It was quite the experience, and we plan to go again next year.
