We raise chickens, turkeys, and potentially ducks, during the summer months. For 2009 we will be charging $2.50 per pound--all butchered out--for the chickens. Contact us for prices for turkeys and ducks.

Our poultry is started on a medicated feed. They are given that for about a month, and then they are changed over to a feed mix with no medication. Our poultry are free range and the chickens butcher out between 5 and 7 pounds each.

Sorry, we do not ship, but we live close to Lansing, Michigan with easy access to I-69. We are minutes from Haslett, Okemos, East Lansing, DeWitt, and Lansing.

As with the goats, we started with the poultry through 4-H. We just could not believe how delicious those home-grown chickens were, and how much more meat there was on them. I'm sure you will agree. We also know what went in them, or should I say, what DIDN'T go into them! One of our grandfathers is very allergic to penicillin. He cannot eat store bought poultry, but he can eat ours!

We have not yet set a price for the turkey and ducks. We will probably only raise a couple ducks, unless we get several orders for them. So please contact us soon if you are interested.

The poultry come butchered in a freezer bag or freezer wrap. If desired, we will try our best to coordinate the timing so that you can pick them up fresh, never frozen.

If there are enough orders, we would also consider raising a couple different groups of chickens, so that we could butcher more than one time in the summer.
